Terms of Service
1. Provider
LazyType is operated by D.CRAMER ESOLUTIONS LTD, Istanbul 10, Athanasia Court, Office No. 6, CY-6025 Larnaca, Cyprus (HE469716, VAT CY60126352Y), represented by Daniel Cramer ("we", "us"). By installing or using the LazyType application or website you ("user", "you") accept these terms.
2. The product
LazyType is a macOS application that captures audio while a hotkey is held, transcribes it via a third-party speech-to-text service (Groq), and pastes the transcript into the application currently focused on the user's Mac. A free trial of 7 days is included; thereafter a paid license is required for continued use.
3. License grant
Upon successful payment we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use LazyType on up to three (3) personal devices you own or control. The license is perpetual: you may keep using your purchased version forever. Free updates are included for twelve (12) months from the purchase date.
You may not:
- resell, sublicense, or distribute LazyType,
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the embedded keys (other than for interoperability purposes permitted by mandatory law),
- share your license key with people outside your household.
4. Pricing & payment
Current price: €19,99 (incl. applicable VAT) one-time. Payment is processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. We do not store card data. After payment you receive your license key by email within minutes.
5. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU)
As a consumer you have a statutory right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days under Directive 2011/83/EU. Because LazyType is digital content delivered immediately, this right of withdrawal expires once download or activation begins. By starting the download or activating your license you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal lapses at that moment (Art. 16(m) Directive 2011/83/EU). We do not offer voluntary refunds. Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected.
6. Service availability
The LazyType application runs locally on your Mac. The transcription functionality depends on the Groq API. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of third-party services. Planned maintenance and outages of Groq, Cloudflare, Stripe, or Resend are outside our control.
7. Trial
The 7-day trial begins on first launch and is bound to the device's hardware fingerprint. Reinstalling or wiping local state does not reset the trial. After expiry, transcription is blocked until a valid license is activated.
8. Updates
Updates are delivered via the application's auto-update mechanism. You receive free updates for 12 months from purchase. After that period, existing versions continue to work; future updates may require a new purchase.
9. Liability
Our liability is limited to direct damages caused by intent or gross negligence, and capped at the amount you paid for the license. Liability for indirect or consequential damages, lost data, or lost profits is excluded to the extent permitted by Cypriot law.
LazyType is provided "as is". We do not warrant that transcripts are 100% accurate. Audio dictated may contain confidential information; you are responsible for what you say.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate this contract at any time. We may revoke your license in cases of material breach (e.g. license sharing, chargeback fraud, illegal use). After your right of withdrawal has lapsed (see § 5) refunds are not available except where required by mandatory consumer protection law.
11. Privacy
See Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected. Place of jurisdiction is Larnaca, Cyprus, to the extent permitted.
